Jacqueline Atkins is an educator and debut children's novelist of From Panama´ to New York: Jacquelina's Story. From Panama´ to New York: Jacquelina's Story received a Mom's Choice Award, an honorable mention from the 2022 Purple Dragonfly Book Award and a Five Star Book Review from the Readers' Favorite Book Reviews and Award Contest. As a Spanish-speaking immigrant who moved from the Republic of Panama´ to the United States, Jacqueline shares her story through a realistic fiction novel to show diverse readers that it is possible to navigate their way through language barriers and cultural differences. She began her teaching career as a New York City Teaching Fellow, working as a classroom teacher for several years. She has a Master of Science in Education from Queens College, a Bachelor of Science from Marymount Manhattan College and serves as an education administrator. Jacqueline volunteers for the data entry ministry at her Church, she lives and works in New York City.
