Jade Gurss is a two-time New York Times best-selling author. His sixth book, "Al Unser Jr..: A Checkered Past" is now available from Octane Press. Gurss has been involved with a long list of motorsports sponsors and racing categories. As a publicist, Gurss has represented Anheuser-Busch, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda and many other major motorsports sponsors. In his work for Budweiser, Gurss was publicist for Dale Earnhardt Jr. from 1999 through the end of the 2007 season. Prior to forming fingerprint inc., Gurss was marketing and communications director for Ilmor Engineering, then the racing engine division of Mercedes-Benz. Gurss was also Director of Corporate Communication for Andretti Autosport and Andretti Sports Marketing. Gurss co-authored "Driver No. 8" with Earnhardt Jr., which became Amazon's top-selling sports book of 2002, and spent 17 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list. Gurss also co-authored "DW!" with three-time NASCAR Champion and current Fox motorsports analyst Darrell Waltrip. "In The Red" details the 2001 season with Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Beast" is the incredible story behind the top-secret Mercedes-Benz engine that dominated the 1994 Indy 500 with Team Penske. Gurss was an adjunct professor in the University of North Carolina-Charlotte MBA program. A native of Topeka, Kansas, Gurss resides in the Charlotte, NC area.
