James started making short martial arts films at the age of 16 ​using a borrowed camera, with hopes that one day he could ​build a career in the industry. He spent years teaching himself to use whatever he had at his ​disposal to create the most cinematic experiences possible. ​James has directed 2 feature films as well as a new hit 6 part ​TV Show (Ringside - 2021) After making his first feature film, Lead me to the dark, he ​realised that the vision he wanted to achieve was impossible ​on the budget he had and so turned his attention to novel ​writing. Doing this allowed him to the tell the story he wanted ​to tell.
