Everybody has a Story. Janice Anne Wheeler is an entrepreneur, chef, and adventure lover who has always been a writer at heart. She is now sharing her unique story and outlook on the world. Janice has written two very personal Memoirs and five compelling Biographies in a captivating, conversational style. She loves conveying the amazing tales that ordinary heroes have. After four books published in just under a year she was swept out to sea by a Sailor and has moved aboard a 1934 Wooden Yacht named 'Steadfast.' Her creative recounts of harrowing and joyful cruising experiences are really making waves, and a ghostwritten work hit the market in August with tremendous reception nationwide. Another biographical work is underway about the raucous times in the 70s and 80s when drugs and rock 'n' roll were inseparable; a firsthand account from Jerry Garcia's Keyboardist. Janice Anne grew up all over Upstate New York, graduated Cornell University Hotel School and headed West. She is passionate about honesty, friends, food and Mother Nature. Travel and exploration are in her blood, taking her places even she did not imagine, meeting incredible characters along the way. She returned to New York eight years ago and found she possesses the BRCA2 Breast Cancer genetic mutation. She made a drastic choice to save her life, and her first title, "The New Girls" was written as she recovered from a prophylactic double mastectomy with reconstruction. This experience brought a strong desire to increase awareness of BRCA and the choices it entails. She hopes that her story helps people facing situations similar to her own and hopefully, 'The New Girls' will give comfort, knowing they are not alone. Her second book, 'Say What Needs to be Said,' tells of the precious time spent with her father at the end of his life and the incredible lessons that were learned then and throughout her life. "A must-read for anyone with parents!" One of those lessons is always to remember to laugh. She has written for SAIL, WoodenBoat, Spinsheet and other Sport & Travel Magazines. Her most recent client describes his experience this way; "I trust Janice with my life and my personal story because she is the only person I've ever met that could get inside my head and write exactly what I was thinking." It has been an interesting, soulful ride, and the journey continues. Thank you very sincerely for your interest and support!
