Jason Queen grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where he is now raising his five children . His lifelong dream of writing and publishing a novel was fulfilled with "My Life Was Mercy Creek" and he recently published the sequel, "The World Comes To Mercy Creek". Jason works as a paralegal in a law firm and he is a part owner and book brewer with The Independent Literature Brewing Company, an independent imprint based in Winchester, Virginia. When he isn't working or writing, Jason loves to canoe and fish with his family and read novels of all different genres, but his favorites are historical fiction and westerns. The recurring themes a reader can usually find in Jason's writings include nostalgic references and traditions, individuals or families overcoming adversity, and the exploration of the American Dream.
