Jean Hoefling is a copyeditor and author living in her native Colorado, after many years in France and Italy. She loves autumn fog, medieval shrines, and writing the biblical fiction she always wanted to read, full of historical speculation and enduring characters. Ashes Like Bread, the first book in her dark fantasy series (Chronicles of Genesis) won the 2019 Readers' Favorite Bronze Medal in Christian Fantasy. The second book in the series, The Seed Bearer's Bride, was a Foreword Indies 2021 finalist in Religious Fiction.
