Jean Nunnally grew up in East Tennessee and is the veteran unschooling mother of two adult children. She completed a BS in Finance from the University of Tennessee before starting a fourteen-year career with Shell Oil in Houston, Texas. After leaving Shell, she volunteered for over ten years as a La Leche League Leader and a board-certified lactation consultant. She has been a guest speaker on two global webcasts for parents dealing with remote schooling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides her passion for unschooling and children’s rights, she has an insatiable curiosity for a wide range of subjects ranging from healthy living to evolutionary psychology to genealogy. Favorite pastimes include camping, walking, painting, and crafting. She and her husband live in Kerrville, TX.
