Jeff Hicks was born in Idaho and raised on the edge of the famous, "Idaho Wilderness Area." Writing became his life blood as he recorded the fascinating details of colorful folks who cut their teeth on mining, ranching, timber, and prospecting. He met the famous Idaho hermit, Buckskin Bill, on one of his many trips down the River of No Return (Salmon River). Hicks has roamed and explored most of the rugged and uncivilized parts of Central Idaho. His latest book series, "Growing Up in Idaho," details some of those adventures.
