Jerry Broadway was born and raised in the small town of Soso, MS (pop.308). In 1994, he moved his family to Alabama in pursuit of a career in radio. After spending 19 years in Alabama, that career took the Broadways to Tulsa, Oklahoma and eventually St. Louis, as the Bud And Broadway Show gained popularity. In St. Louis, the show picked up the Country Music Association Award as well as the Academy of Country Music Award for Major Market Personality of the Year. After losing their slot in the lineup due to Covid-19 budget cuts, the team launched a syndicated version of the show, which is currently heard on 19 stations in 12 states (and growing). Jerry has been married to Daphne, the love of his life, for nearly 30 years. They have 3 children; Hayley, Chandler, and Grayson. Grayson is the youngest, and was born with 2 rare brain disorders, leading him to be severely developmentally delayed as well as Autistic. During the downtime of his unplanned unemployment, Jerry decided to pursue his lifelong dream of writing his first book. He chose Grayson as the subject. “Amazing Grayson" is the story of both Jerry and Grayson, encompassing the first meeting with Daphne through Grayson’s diagnosis and present-day life. Jerry is a half-decent guitar player, and can often be found sitting around a campfire trying to remember the chords to a Jimmy Buffett song. He also loves reading, video games, movies, riding horses, and vacationing on the beach. Any beach. He often takes part in charitable events, throwing his support behind such organizations as The Salvation Army, Folds of Honor, and numerous children’s hospitals around the country. So far, “Amazing Grayson” is Jerry’s only book, but he has composed a few really bad country songs, some seriously good love letters, and the occasional blog that goes largely ignored by all but his closest friends and family.
