Jo writes funny books for kids and is the author of the best-selling I Swapped My Brother on the Internet. It was shortlisted for the Lollies 2020 and was one of Tom Fletcher's 2018 picks for his WHSmith Book Club. My Parents Cancelled My Birthday and I Stole My Genius Sister's Brain followed, all with Nathan’s awesome illustrations, and all full of the weird characters and extremely silly situations that Jo finds funny. Jo's teen trilogy, The Reluctant Vampire Queen, is also out now, and the first of the three is shortlisted for the Lollies 2024. Jo began her working life as a magazine journalist. She was inspired to write funny fiction when her children were young, and found everything from jam to Tuesdays hilarious. Four Pip Street stories followed and the first one in this series, A Whiskery Mystery, was longlisted for the Waterstones Prize.
