John Elizabeth Stintzi is a non-binary Canadian-American writer and visual artist, currently working in the United States. They are the author of the novels MY VOLCANO (2022) and VANISHING MONUMENTS (2020), the short story collection BAD HOUSES (2024), and the poetry collection JUNEBAT (2020). They are the recipient of the RBC Bronwen Wallace Award, the Long Poem Prize from The Malahat Review, the Sator New Works Award, and have been shortlisted for the Amazon Canada First Novel Award and the Raymond Souster Award from the League of Canadian Poets. They are currently at work illustrating their first graphic novel: AUTOMATON DEACTIVATION BUREAU.
