I just bought my first IBM compatible and started developing Dbase programs to help organize my business's with. If you wanted to network computers together (Which mostly unheard of.) You had to call someone in California to get information from the Manufacture about their product. I lucky enough to be a small part of the computer revolution in the US. It was in that landscape, I fell in love with computers. Spending decades learning and teaching myself everything I could about them. In the beginning the only place to do that was at Trade shows or calling the manufacturer directly to get information. I still remember spending hours on the phone writing down notes and talking to different people. I spent the next 30 years in an industry that wouldn't stand-still. And if you didn't pay attention, the business would fly right by you. I started specializing in early 90's in LAN's, (Local area networks) and the WAN's when the internet started coming available later in mid 90's. (Wide Area Network). I worked as Network Engineer and Consultant for both blue chip and mid size companies over the years. Working for companies like Eli Lilly through the 90's, converting them from Apple's to Windows operating system and helping them with their early Internet development. To my wife distress, I didn't always pick the easy way or the one lined with gold. But one that challenge me, every day I went into work.
