AUTHOR Joseph Groth Joseph Groth is a former Hughes Aircraft executive who managed its office at the NASA Manned Space Center during Apollo. Later, he initiated joint venture programs with Teleprompter for cable tv systems in Los Angeles and New York, and the satellite systems to interconnect them. He co-produced the prototype "Live From Lincoln Center" telecast of a Beverly Sills opera with John Goberman of the NY Opera Company by utilizing low-light color TV cameras developed by Hughes for the Surveyor Moon Landing Program. Previously, he was a U.S. Marine Corps intelligence officer, and Winzen Research executive during the world record U.S. Air Force manned high altitude balloon flights of Capt. Joe Kittinger and Major David Simons. Joseph Groth is married to Nancy Flynn Groth, a poet.
