Joseph Rein is the author of the Youtopia series (Youtopia, Youtopia Reborn, and Youtopia Infinity). His short story collection, Roads without Houses, was a finalist for the Press 53 Prize in Fiction and the Holy Cow! First Fiction Prize. His fiction, poetry, and essays have been published in over twenty journals and anthologies worldwide, and have been nominated for multiple Pushcart Prizes. He has also written three award-winning short films and two feature films, including Who Killed Cooper Dunn? (2022) which is currently streaming on Showtime. His books on pedagogy are taught widely in America and abroad. He is currently a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. When not writing or reading, he can be found hiking with his wife Jessica, playing cribbage, or recovering from various small injuries inflicted by his four children.
