Josh Patrick is a serial entrepreneur who has been obsessed with what makes businesses successful and ultimately personally and economically sustainable. In this forty years running, owning, consulting and working with business owners he's seen almost anything that's possible with privately held businesses. I've written over 1,200 blog posts and has been a blogger for You're the Boss at the NY Times, written for Inc.com, Forbes.com, Open at American Express and The Huffington Post. You might have thought that I would write a straight-ahead business advice book for my first time out, but no, I decided that writing a business fable would be more useful, even though I've never written any fictional works. My first book, Sustainable: A Fable About Creating a Personally and Economically Sustainable Business tracks the lives of the Aardvark family and the problems they're having. Aardvark Manufacturing has all sorts of crazy issues that seem so out of control, the founder John Aardvark is thinking about throwing in the towel. Instead, John hires a curmudgeonly sort who helps him think through all of the issues that he has with his business and even comes up with a game plan for how to create a business he loves. Join us as we go on this adventure and learn about what it'll take for you to create your own sustainable business.
