Julie Adkison has wanted to write a novel for as long as she can remember. She has written poems and short stories and has taken many creative writing classes over the years. She did a stint on “Music Row” as a songwriter (Jason Aldean, Terri Clark, Sixwire, Point of Grace, film & TV), and she wrote a cookbook with some friends (“Cooking with Grace” with Point of Grace). But none of these things scratched her itch to write a novel. Her love of writing intersects with her love of the southwest region of Colorado in this debut novel. It is referred to as the “Switzerland of America.” There is nowhere as inspiring as this place where she has been traveling since childhood. Julie’s other interests include musical theatre (proud theatre mom), cooking, snow skiing and travel. She lives in La Vergne, Tennessee, just outside her hometown of Nashville. Her most important roles are wife to Mark, mom to Sydney and dog mom to Maisy and Sadie.
