Justin Key is a working actor, published author, DE&I consultant, entertainment entrepreneur, and speaker based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Rossville, TN, Key relocated to Memphis, TN, where he trained professionally in acting at the Circuit Playhouse and then continued his education at LeMoyne-Owen College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Justin worked as a commercial actor, voiceover artist, and print model before relocating to the West Coast to further his education and training. He went on to study acting and graduate from AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles and the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Some of his features include Netflix, BET, Comedy Central, PBS, and Amazon Prime, with notable print campaigns for Walmart, Ross Stores, Burlington, and more. Justin has been honored by organizations such as Black Enterprise Magazine, Memphis 40 Under 40, and the UNCF for his continued philanthropy, creative endeavors, and entrepreneurial prowess. He published his first book, Mind Control, a how-to, self-help book that centers around living a life without limits and not putting restrictions on ones’ given talents, gifts, and personality, in 2018 that quickly became a Top 10 bestseller. In 2019, Key created Mama Knows Best, a comedic audiobook and visual series based on the relationship between a southern mom and her son, opposite Mad TV’s Debra Wilson. The project is now being pitched as an animated television series. After receiving his MBA in Entrepreneurship with a focus in Entertainment from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, Justin taught and created curriculum for colleges and universities around the country that focused on general entrepreneurship for the 21st Century and entertainment entrepreneurship for artists and creatives. This led him to consult privately for Fortune 500 companies in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key has become a highly sought-after speaker, nationally and internationally, while being Black Enterprise Magazine 2019 Man of Distinction, receiving the Key to the City of his hometown, and Alumnus of the Year from his alma mater.
