Karen Iverson began writing as a child and developed her skills in high school and at the University of New Hampshire. She is honored to be the recipient of the "Difference Maker" Award from Author Advantage Live. Karen also holds 2 masters' degrees in science education from Columbia University Teachers College and clinical mental health counseling from Northeastern State. After having been diagnosed with breast cancer at age thirty-nine, and having lost her father to cancer, she felt drawn to share her story and offer guidance to the ever increasing number of women with breast cancer and the families and friends who suffer beside them. Karen is native to New York but currently resides in Oklahoma where she is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She also is a fine artist, singer, and actress.
