One of the things Karin began to do when she reached high school was go on serial diets, in order to become thinner and improve her looks. One day, at the age of 22, she was sitting in her bedroom at her parents’ home. That evening, she formulated a set of insights and rules she’d repeat to herself every single night, a sort of ritual before sleep. With time, the number of mantras increased based on circumstances and situations she found herself in. From that night on, Karin stopped the dieting, and began to fight her gluttonous side. It’s been over 25 years since she’s been living in peace with her body, being able to control the urge to eat, while enjoying the food she loves. Karin has a BA in History of Art and History of Musicology. She then studied programming and worked in Computer Software and later in Information Systems Analysis, which she does until today. In addition, she studied Enhancement of awareness at the Center of Inter-Religious Peace Directed by Dr. Dorit Kedar. Today she lives in Israel with her husband and their two wonderful daughters.
