Kathryne M. Young is an Associate Professor at George Washington University Law School and an affiliated faculty member at the American Bar Foundation. She was previously a tenured professor in the Sociology Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she won numerous awards for her teaching and research. Professor Young holds a JD and a PhD from Stanford University. She was born in Okinawa, Japan, and has lived in Texas, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Massachusetts, and many different cities in northern California. Currently, she and her spouse live in Maryland.
