Born and raised in the City of Los Angeles, from a large family of entrepreneurs who have lived and built character through every struggle, Kaycee Jones is an epitome of devotion to humanity. She is very passionate about the community, families, children and the environment.

My ebook was selected this year for this year 2023 Indie Author Project for all local Library in California. The Indie Author Project (IAP) is a publishing community that includes public libraries, authors, curators, and readers working together to connect library patrons with great indie-published books. IAP has helped hundreds of libraries engage their local creative community and assisted in getting more than 12,000 indie authors into their local libraries. Most importantly, the project has worked with top curation partners and librarians to identify hundreds of these as the best indie eBooks available to readers—so they can be sustainably circulated to library patrons with confidence.
When I came out with the fiction book entitled, “The Black Magician,” I wanted to specify how important it was to understand black history struggles. Also, for the readers to understand the hard passage of slavery. Although people think they were ordinary slaves that was stolen in fact it has been proven real doctors, scientist, herbalist, teachers, and royalty was taken from their land in Africa! I also wanted to encourage people from all social classes that there is something more to life if you dig deep inside of yourself to see your purpose on earth; it is up to us to find out what our purpose is and once we find it, we must stay on our path.

That Time I Almost Didn't Make It
I ran to catch the door, it was slamming fast!
With both hands full; holding my 2 children in my arms, it would have been impossible for me to catch the door
I knew that it was going to be difficult to catch the door but I imagined, if I could just get my foot in I could possibly hold it. I ran with all I my might and as I got closer I realized
I had a good opportunity to stop the door from slamming
So I took a chance and put my foot toward the door; amazingly
My pinky toe stop it from totally closing
It was painful but I was excited it did not shut all the way
I noticed when I wiggle my little toe back and forth I was able to get a few more toes in, so I kept at it
I knew I could possibly use this same technique to get my foot in
So with much work, I was able to get my whole foot in
So then I took my foot and and with all my force I swiftly kicked the door open to give me a chance to stick my knee in to hold the door………….
With sweat and tears of joy, it somehow worked
Things was looking good, but I knew I had much more work to do, I was in way to deep to turn back now
For the next few seconds I did a lot of thrusting and maneuvering
I used my knee to swing the door as hard as I could
Just to get one kid and my hip in door
I'm halfway there!
I used my butt, back and hips to swing the door open while I shuffled my elbow, shoulder and my other child through
and then............
I made it in!
I manage to get myself, both my children and the bag I was carrying inside this door
I really can't believe it, that I used my the limbs that God gave me and I
made it through
And so can you!
