Sergeant Kendall Clark Thomas Jackson was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, January 16, 1979. He is the first born among three siblings. He attended Henry Ford High School in Detroit, Michigan, but graduated from New Britain High School in New Britain, Connecticut, after relocating to Connecticut at the age of sixteen. He is presently pursuing a bachelor’s in Christian Ministry through Wayland Baptist University. Sergeant Jackson’s Military Education includes Army Basic Training (2008), Advanced Individual Training (2009), Warrior Leader Course (2013), and Advanced Leaders Course (2015). Since enlisting as an active duty U.S. Army chaplain assistant in October 2008, Sergeant Jackson’s major assignments have included battalion chaplain assistant, 86th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. During his first tour in Afghanistan in 2010, he served as the area chaplain assistant. He returned to Fort Huachuca in March 2011 and received interpost transfer orders to join the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Huachuca, Arizona, until 2013. He served as the chaplain NCOIC, TACOM LCMC, at the U.S. Army Garrison-Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan, until 2015. He served as the chaplain NCOIC, 2-87 Infantry Battalion, Fort Drum, New York. He received interpost transfer orders and is presently serving as the chaplain NCOIC for 2BCT, 41st Engineer Battalion, Fort Drum, New York. Sergeant Jackson has the usual Army awards and achievements, but his most important achievements are his wife, Celia, and their five children together. In August 2017, they will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary.
