Kendra Parks is the author of the uplifting beginning chapter book series "Grace Notes" and "Seen: 40 Days of Biblical Encouragement for Moms to Feel Seen." She is currently working on her Masters in Theological Studies, has a B.A. in Communications/Journalism, and grew up reading books in trees and playing her own violin in a traveling string quartet. Her heart in writing the Grace Notes series was to create delightful uplifting stories centered around her love of music with moments of real-life faith included rather than edited out. She hopes young readers identify with and emulate these characters, knowing that God has amazing plans for their lives and that they can do great things in a humble way, regardless of their age (1 Tim. 4:12). As a little girl, she started writing out God's Word in a pocket-sized blue diary with a lock on it. She didn't realize then the power of securing God's Word into her heart. She now sees that God was planting seeds of faith that would shape her worldview, hold her up through life's challenges, and be her lifeline throughout motherhood. She wrote SEEN out of a desire to remind Mamas that God SEES their deep heart-love and service within the walls of their homes - and that IT MATTERS and has eternal impact! As a homeschooling mother of four, she has discovered the peace of living this realization and prays you do as well. She is so grateful to know God and longs for you and your family to know His love. She currently lives, loves, creates and writes on the edge of a whimsical forest with her best friend/husband Jason (also a writer), their four brilliant dreamers, and a fluffy, tail-wagging pup. She is often found steeping in tea and books amidst a mingling of bird songs and chattering children. Find her on Instagram: @kendraparksauthor
