Kristina Wandzilak, Executive Director and the founder of Full Circle Intervention, is a nationally recognized Interventionist, presenter and author. She has worked in the field of chemical dependency since 1994 and is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CASII) and Board Registered Interventionist (BRI II). Having specialized in family systemic intervention since 1998, she opened the doors of Full Circle Intervention in 2004, with the vision of bringing respectful and effective intervention solutions to families caught in the crisis of untreated addiction. Working across the U.S. and Europe, Kristina and the Full Circle team are recognized for their compassionate and effective approach to the intervention process and for developing the most thorough and successful aftercare programs for both the family and the addicted individual. She has been a topic speaker at national conferences, college campuses and numerous conventions. In 2006 Kristina published a memoir The Lost Years: Surviving a Mother and Daughter's Worst Nightmare (Jeffers Press, October 2006), co-authored with her mother Constance Curry. It chronicles their parallel journey through addiction and co-dependency into the recovery they both enjoy today. "I have had the privilege to facilitate and be witness to incredible and profound change in the lives of those suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction and their families. Intervention is a powerful way of approaching a very well defended and shame bound disease. Creating an Intervention process which includes the whole family not only encourages the addicted person to seek help, but motivates the whole family system to move toward living a happier and more enjoyable way of life, relieved of the stresses and burden of active addiction." Kristina studied addiction at UC Berkeley Extension and the University of Phoenix. She lives in the San Francisco bay area with her husband and two children.
