Laura Rich loves urban fantasy stories with sarcastic heroes and heroines who get into big trouble, barely escape with their lives, and learn little from the experience. She lives in the Piney Woods of Texas with her family and assorted animals (including chickens!) and is a full-time project manager, all of which have granted her the patience to wrangle recalcitrant characters and misbehaving plotlines into something resembling a story. She writes slowly in the corner of her bedroom on her grandmother's old secretary, which is filled with bells, crystals, tarot card decks, old photos, and memories.
