Lisa Dayley has worked as a reporter/writer for 30 years. She graduated from Metropolitan State University in 1995 where she first wrote "The Frozen Trail" in a creative writing class. Twenty years after graduating, WiDo accepted her manuscript. The book went on to be a best seller in 2011-2012, and it continues to do well. Dayley is married, the mother of three and grandmother of three. She works for a newspaper while also continuing to write books. A story she wrote about CHiPs actor Erik Estrada went viral and has been found throughout the world on 55,000 webpages. Dayley has also written the book "Kobi's Kittens" and "The Mini-Cassia History Pages" book. She's also working on an historical fiction book about her great-great-grandfather Ralph Smith. She has received numerous award for her writing and photography. Dayley plans to pursue a masters degree in creative writing while continuing writing books.
