I love writing. I hate selling myself. So, here I am in thirty seconds. 1) As a first generation American, I was raised in a very Irish household with five siblings. My doctor father had a wonderful brogue and loved James Joyce; my beautiful mother made a mean Irish Coffee and danced the jig well into her eighties. 2) I left Japanese banking for the more creative field of fashion and worked on the design teams of Donna Karan and Calvin Klein. My last job was with Ralph Lauren and was based in Paris, France, where I lived for six lucky years. 3) Nothing makes me happier than being outdoors and traveling. Plus, English bulldogs. S’mores, too. 4) Because of my Irish roots, I can tell a riveting story. And I’ve taken classes, various workshops, and read many novels which is the key to better writing. My next book is a thriller about a young South Dakota geology student at an elite university who unwittingly joins a secret society, and all hell breaks loose.
