I only started writing when I retired but have been keen to write children's stories for a long time. Although I live in England, I am actually Scottish and come from a heritage of Celtic Myth and Legend. My fairy tales are magical but I am now starting to write longer tales of myth and magyck. I have two daughters and two grandsons who I test my ideas on as well as a fairy-made god-daughter. They tend to be traditional 'happy ever afters' but one of these days.... The photos I have added are the poster from my last book reading and signing, Angela, my original illustrator in S Africa, A winner of one of the Colour Fairies books, two children who came to the reading and won a prize. The next row is myself with my goddaughter who is also my fairy helper, a mock up of me in a magazine, and two pictures when I was visiting the Middle East. 06/12/2020 Well this has been a year with Covid19 and Brexit but I have, with the assistance of my team managed to finish the 30 Books in The Colour Fairies Series, and also the follow up books to The Wizard's Crown. These are all now available in paperback, kindle and audio formats. I will not be writing any more stories, as the Parkinsons Disease which has ben with me for thepast16 years is now getting quite bad and I get tired so easily but I am happy to answers questions you may have The latest photos I have added are a page grab from, thecolourfairies.co.uk website showing a photo of me about 5 years ago in a Turkish fishing boat ,a picture of Kate Rose Smith who wonderfully illustrated all the books from Book 10 onwards and Nicola MacCameron, who lives in Canada , and beautifully narrates the audiobooks., We have had fun producing the books, using Skype to chat together and on one occasion having an online fairy party. We have had competitions in which readers could. win anything from a magic wand to a chance to have their story included in a forthcoming book. Such as was the case with Mae Kochenderfer, from USA whose story beat many others with her description of what happens a a fairy baby naming ceremony . If a miracle cure is found in the near future I may write some more but for now I'll sign off. The last photo I uploaded was my attempt to make a Christmas wreath for the table on Christmas Day after attending a workshop at the local Cathedral .
