Manula Kalicka is a Polish writer and journalist. She graduated from the University of Warsaw and majored in Polish Linguistics and Journalism. She worked as a librarian, was a producer of a fashion company, and ran a bookstore. Now she runs a Literary Agency. She made her debut in the 2002 novel, My Dad, His Girls & I at the literary contest organized by the World of Book Club and the magazine Elle, where she won the second prize, The Gold Pen. Following her book Happiness at the Threshold and Virtual Attraction appeared on the bestseller lists .=As a journalist, she debuted in the pages of the weekly review "Polityka" and to this day works with them on a regular basis.
