Marc A. Carignan (1963-) was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and attended the University of New Hampshire, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Music. Marc has been an executive and individual contributor at several computer companies, and has contributed at five early to mid-stage technology startup companies. His responsibilities were global, allowing him to travel the world and build business in 35 countries. Marc has studied leadership techniques and served as an executive coach for many years, during which he wrote his first book, "Leading from the Inside Out". Marc led seminars and training courses throughout the US. Since 2013, Marc has been studying Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, seeing it as the next big technology revolution, expecting it to be equal or greater to the impact that the internet has had on the world. His first book in this area, "The Bitcoin Tutor: Unlocking the Secrets of Bitcoin", provides a non-technical overview of the bitcoin for the general public. With thebitcointutor.com website, Carignan continues on this mission to provide educational and learning materials for those people who want to be on the front edge of this new revolution, yet may not have a computer science degree themselves. Marc uses his understanding of technology, his motivational techniques from coaching, and his training experience in making Bitcoin understandable and actionable by his readers.
