Mark Peter Evans is a Welsh writer who works with time,space, the elements and darkness and light.. By focusing on techniques and materials, Evans tries to focus on the activity of The character, shape or content of the story's, and his works are presented by its magic and his writing is secondary. Marks words appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet, well-known tropes merge, meanings shift, past and present fuse. Time and memory always play a key role. The higher energy can often be felt in some of the words that he reveals, this is very important to him. By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language, he wants to amplify the astonishment of the spectator by creating compositions or settings that generate tranquil poetic images that leave traces and balances on the edge of recognition and alienation. His works are notable for their perfect finish and tactile nature. This is of great importance and bears witness to great craftsmanship. By replaying the work for each exhibition and pushing the evocative power of the work a little further, he considers making writing not just a craft but one which is executed using clear formal rules and which should always refer to the world and it's reality and how things should be. His works are presented with the aim not to provide an idealistic view but to identify where light, darkness and the environment are important. The energy of a place and its emotional and spiritual vibrations are always important. His belief is that the world, should live with peace, harmony, and the simple thing for all. Mark has the humble stance and the enigmatic aura to write whatever he chooses, bearing in mind if you asked him... Oh I am who I am - just a simple writer, nothing special. Mark was born in 1969 in the town of Wrexham, North Wales, United Kingdom, and spent his childhood living and growing up in the village of Afoneitha. Mark attended Penycae and Grango school Rhos Wrexham. Mark started writing from an early age. He first knew he could write after being commended by his English teacher at the age of thirteen for the short story he had written. However, the author decided to work full time and leave his writing career until he felt the time was right. His claim to fame was with Sir Tim Rice many years ago when he sent some material for some feedback. Mark enjoys spending time with family in stunning North Wales, listening to all sorts of music, relaxing when he is not writing,burning the odd candle or two. Mark also enjoys beach walks and enjoying the fantastic scenery that the island of Jersey has to offer. Although some portray him as a shy sincere man. Mark is a person who in reflection will talk the head off a seaside donkey and give it a headache - Not so Mark would state. Look out for exciting news about Mark and his writing soon
