Mary Cianni PhD is the Clinical Assistant Professor of Organizational Consulting at New York University. Prior to returning to the field of academia, she spent over 20 years in the field of organizational consulting including serving in key global leadership roles. At Willis Towers Watson, Mary was the Global Leader, Mergers & Acquisition Practice where she built a team of M&A experts, launched research projects and led global M&A project teams. Mary was also a Senior Client Partner and Global Leader, Integrated Service at Korn Ferry where she led six practice areas including M&A, workforce transformation, and diversity, equity and inclusion. She is an expert on culture, leadership and change management. She is recognized as a talent developer in the firms in which she worked. Prior to joining the world of consulting, Mary was a tenured Associate Professor of Management at the Sigmund Weis School of Business, Susquehanna University. While at SU, Mary launched the Women's Mentor Program and won the Teaching Award for excellence in the classroom. Mary also served as the Director, Career Services at SU, creating innovative programs featured in the New Year Times. She served as a Visiting Professor at Senshu University, Japan and London School of Economics. Mary has held corporates role as Vice-President, Global Human Resources at Stiefel Laboratories and Senior Consultant, Learning and Development at The Travelers Companies. Mary has published widely in peer-reviewed and professional journals in the areas of organizational change and talent development. Mary won several awards for her research on race and gender in the workforce. She is a frequent keynote speaker, conference presenter, podcast participant and guest lecturer. Her talks focus on career success, organizational transformation, and culture change. Mary has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University.
