I have always loved books, ever since I first learned to read at the age of four. I must admit I am somewhat of an omnivore when it comes to books, but my favourite genres have been history, fantasy, science fiction, and horror. The feeling of total freedom and unlimited adventure and exploration, while sitting in my favourite chair or on the couch, is priceless. Books have helped me overcome grief, bullying at school, insecurity, and heartache. Nature is another thing that brings me joy and peace. You will not find me on top of every mountain, but I do relish the sight of them every morning, and the landscapes of my home are also an inspiration for my stories. I hope that all of this shines through in the books I myself write, and that you will feel the thrill of a good story and let it transport you to another time and place when you sit down and read or listen to it. On a personal note, I have a wonderful family, husband and two children, of whom my daughter has provided the illustrations for The Frost King. In addition our family includes three cats, all very much invested in giving my writing some action... My second book - a book which began as a ghost story, but ended up including norse mythology, horror, thriller, and crime elements - was published on July 21st 2023, and the title is: The Thundering Silence. The title hints to that deafening silence that will ring in your ears, moments before something horrible happens... I have now 'finished' the second book from Dragora, titled The Crystal Heart, which I hope to see in print in the spring of 2025, and I have finished the draft of my next horror novel, gearing up for starting on that novel proper after The Crystal Heart has been submitted. All of this means that I am busy, but I love the feeling (as long as I have time for playing, singing, and painting!).
