Born in London at the tail end of 1958. First published text (in Catalan): 1990. First published novel (in Catalan): 1996. Since then, 13 books of fiction and non-fiction (two awards) published in Catalan, and six in English (five novels and a collection of articles). One of these novels has been translated into Spanish and another into Catalan. I have also done a variety of jobs: yard sweeper, bus clerk, leaflet hander-out etc. plus translator, TV scriptwriter and presenter, voiceover person, film and TV script corrector, and columnist. I currently live between Barcelona and the lakeside town of Banyoles.
