Melissa Yi is an emergency physician who believes in happily ever afters. She is best known for her crime-fighting doctor heroine, Hope Sze, but as a Canadian living in the cutest small town, Melissa could not resist penning the sweet hockey romance Glengarry Guards series. Melissa won the Derringer Award for the best short mystery in the English language and the Prix Aurora Award for the best speculative poem in Canada in 2023. As Melissa Yuan-Innes, she writes about everything from Cinderella in China to stories ripped from the ER. Fun fact: Melissa's parents would drop her off at the library while they drove her brother to Tae Kwon Do class. Books were her babysitter.
