Michael Ray Taylor is the author of adventurous science and nature books: Hidden Nature: Wild Southern Caves, Cave Passages, Dark Life, and Caves, and he has been editor and co-author of other titles. His work appears in Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, Chapter 16, Nashville Scene, The Houston Chronicle, and the website of The Discovery Channel. He has consulted on feature films and has worked on documentaries for National Geographic, PBS and The Discovery Channel. For many years he taught journalism at Henderson State University in Arkansas. He is currently working on his first novel, along with a book on an amazing (but still secret) U.S. cave discovery. His hobbies include caving, cooking, and playing bass in a rock band.
