Michael Vain was born in Maryland, and spent his child-hood in an 18th century colonial home in Elkridge, a colony-era area along the Patapsco River. This environment greatly influenced his art and writing, and provided the perfect atmosphere for him to explore the darker avenues of his imagination. Michael began his creative career as a visual artist, and has been drawing and painting since an early age. Today, he continues to create works of visual and functional art. His other passions include traditional martial arts, photography, tabletop role-playing, painting, drawing, and web design. He is also a narcissistic/legal abuse survivor, and is currently working on a non-fiction account of this period of his life in the hope of increasing awareness of the effects of toxic relation-ships, as well as the gender-bias in Juvenile and Domestic Courts, detailing the inadequacies of the legal system in dealing with emotional abuse and domestic violence. Michael currently resides in Virginia.
