Nancy's journey to authorship is unconventional, with four decades as an entrepreneur and inventor. Her creative drive led her from launching a print shop to inventing a foil ring called the Pie Saver. Feeling it was time to tackle a new endeavor, she penned a young adult mystery titled "The Joker's Revenge", based on a lakeside girls' camp in Maine. In addition to this mystery, Nancy is the author of the six-volume picture book series "Chompy & the Munchy Bunch." This series, known for its light-hearted tone, features a carrot-munching superhero, a mischievous candy bar, and their friends. Each story subtly weaves in a nutritional lesson amid its action-packed pages. Inspired by her enthusiasm for healthy eating, she created the character Chompy, whose superpowered eyesight comes from drinking a carrot-based beverage called Chompy Juice. When Chompy consumes this juice, his eyes "pop," allowing him to see through walls and trees, often leading to the rescue of the trouble-prone Candybar from dangerous predicaments. The colorful characters, all food items, and the briskly-paced narratives captivate young readers. "A Peek Under the Big Top" received a Silver award, while "The Spelling Test" won Gold at the Royal Palm Literary Awards. Nancy is the mother of two, grandmother of three, and resides in Maine with her spouse. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, baking, hiking, fishing, and participating in other outdoor adventures.
