Nancy is a retired pediatric RN and author of two award-winning novels, Guiding Missal and Sheltering Angels. Nancy has also penned three award-winning children's books, Blueberry Moose, Peachy Possums, and The Skunk Who Lost His Cents. Chicken Scratchings, a compilation of many of her short stories, is her first self-published book. Panko has contributed dozens of stories to Chicken Soup for the Soul books. She has been published in Guideposts Mysterious Ways, Guideposts Angels on Earth, Reader's Digest, Woman's World, and Cary Living magazines. Nancy is a member of the NC Scribes Writing Circle and The Military Writers’ Society of America. She and her husband migrated from Pennsylvania to North Carolina in 2008. They have two children, four grandchildren, and three granddogs. When she is not writing you can find Nancy and her husband on Lake Gaston in their pontoon boat.
