Nathan Jorgenson won The Benjamin Franklin Award for Best New Voice in Fiction for his first novel, Waiting for White Horses. He began writing this as a story to read to his dying father. The Mulligan, A Crooked Number, and Contrapasso his successive novels have also won numerous awards. Jorgenson grew up in a rural mid-western town. He attended a small liberal arts college and went on to receive his DDS from the University of Minnesota. He has been lucky enough to spend countless hours enjoying his other interests in nature with a multitude of friends and family, and now happily resides in the tall pines of northern Minnesota.
