My name is Nicole Ruggiero, Co Owner of The Roll Call Room Cafe LLC, former Deputy Sheriff from the City of Alexandria. Married to Nicholas Ruggiero, my husband of 25 years, former Police Sergeant from the Alexandria Police Department, and best selling Author (Police Mental Barricade; A survivor's guide to poor law enforcement leadership). We have 2 beautiful daughters and own a a neighborhood coffee shop and mobile cafe. The last several years in Law Enforcement have become an almost unbearable as the profession itself has become a living nightmare for many both past and present, Mental Health, PTSD, Depression and Trauma are taboo words and have been as infectious as the current pandemic in this profession. My husband and I have made a mission to write down some past experiences and memories made from traumatic incidents in hopes to help other LEO's and their family and those new to the profession navigate this new culture and possibly learn from our past and present experiences. Our books are meant to give hope to those going through the same situations.
