Dr Lum is board certified in family medicine and currently practices as a hospitalist physician in Kentucky. She has extensive experience in hospital medicine and was Chief of Patient Quality and Safety at a hospital in Kentucky. She completed residency training at the University of Kentucky Rural Program, where she graduated as the chief resident in 2015. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Sint Eustatius now known as American University of Integrative Sciences now located on the island of Barbados. She is a lifestyle and education blogger at www.drninalum.com. In the past, she served as a health and wellness columnist for the Sentinel Echo newspaper in London, KY on a column called "Doctor's Corner" where she educated the community on prevention techniques for common disease ailments. She is passionate about community service on a national and international level. As a native of Cameroon, she continues to participate in mission trips to Cameroon and Haiti. Dr Lum was born and raised in Cameroon, West Africa and therefore enjoys mentoring pre medical and medical students, particularly those who consider themselves international medical graduates. She is an online course creator of speed coaching courses for International medical Graduates. Her course was the first of its kind called imgroadmap.com. It is a 7 module process that teaches foreign medical graduates how to maneuver the process of becoming resident physicians in the United States. She enjoys photography, reading, writing reflective stories and travel. Her writing is described as witty, sarcastic, poignant, vulnerable and ultimately relatable.
