Oren R. Martin (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) serves as Pastor of Equipping and teaches the Institute at Providence Church in Frisco, TX. Formerly he served as Associate Professor of Christian Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College in Louisville, KY. He grew up in Houston, Texas, and has raced cars, worked for NASCAR, served as a local church college pastor to Aggies at Texas A&M University. He has written Bound for the Promised Land: The Land Promise in God’s Redemptive Plan (IVP, 2015), “The Land Promise Biblically and Theologically Understood” in Progressive Covenantalism, ed. Stephen J. Wellum (B&H, 2015), "The Trinity" in Confessing the Faith, ed. R. Albert Mohler (SBTS Press, 2016), 40 Questions About Biblical Theology (with Jason DeRouchie and Andy Naselli; Kregel, 2020), contributed to the Dictionary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament, ed. G. K. Beale, Benjamin Glad (Baker 2024), and is editor of Short Studies in Systematic Theology (with Graham Cole; Crossway), and has published articles and book reviews for various publications.
