Patricia Hall started telling stories to her little sisters by the time she was six, and has ended up with two writing careers. After a degree in English Literature she became a journalist, working for The Guardian in London and the BBC, amongst others. In 1991 her first crime novel, The Poison Pool, was published in London and New York, and she has published one book a year since then. Most have featured reporter Laura Ackroyd and her on-off lover DCI Michael Thackeray and are set in her native Yorkshire amongst the industrial towns of the old West Riding and the beautful Yorkshire Dales. The final book in the series, Dust to Dust, is available on Kindle. Her latest venture is a new series taking a sharp look at so-called "swinging London" in the 1960s. The first in the series, Dead Beat, appeared in 2011 and the sequel, Death Trap will be published in 2012. See more of Patricia Hall on her website www.patriciahall.co.uk
