The QI Elves are the team of fact-finding writers and researchers behind the hit BBC Two show QI, created by producer John Lloyd. Dedicated to pushing the limits of human curiosity, they aim to investigate everything weird and wonderful that the world has to offer. Working with hosts Stephen Fry and Sandi Toksvig, and panellist supremo Alan Davies across 19 series of QI, the Elves are the research team who have asked and answered questions such as 'What's the roundest thing in the universe?', 'Who made sure the Channel tunnel met in the middle?' and 'Why was the March Hare so important to the Aztecs?'. QI returned in 2021 with Series S, exploring everything from Salvador Dali to secret agents. Recruited from backgrounds as diverse as academia, accountancy and astronomy (and that's just the ‘A’s), the Elves now have in their ranks a Countdown champion, a former bingo caller, a team of Only Connect semi-finalists, an erstwhile plum wine seller and an under-17 javelin champion. QI and Faber have published 18 books together, selling over four million copies in 29 countries worldwide, including the seven-book 10,000 Facts series. Their latest release 'Funny You Should Ask . . . Again' is another collection of intriguing answers, inspired by their weekly 'Why Workshop' on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 Breakfast Show, where listeners get a chance to put an extraordinary range of questions to the QI Elves. Having found more facts than they could squeeze into the TV show, in 2014 the QI Elves set up a podcast, 'No Such Thing As A Fish', which has now been downloaded more than 350 million times. The Elves also provide the research behind the BBC Radio 4 show 'The Museum of Curiosity', where guests contribute the most surprising, esoteric and interesting gifts to a virtual museum.
