Ralph Heath is an author, consultant, and keynote speaker and writes a blog called Thoughtful Leadership and Marketing. His new book, Celebrating Failure: The Power of Taking Risks, Making Mistakes, and Thinking Big, is published by Career Press. He is a managing partner in Synergy Leadership Group located in LaCrosse Wisconsin. Synergy works with clients to create best of class strategic marketing plans, PowerPoint sales presentations, branding and creative campaigns. For 31 years, Ralph led his agency, Ovation Marketing, by providing strategic insight and serving as a marketing and creative resource for client teams. Under his leadership, Ovation was twice named to INC magazine's list of America's 500 fastest growing companies. Ralph is a John Caples International Award winner and has been recognized as a DMA Midwest Direct Marketer of the Year. Ralph is a member of the National Speakers Association. He has taught advertising and marketing courses at the University of Wisconsin. He earned his B.S. in mass communications from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is past-president of the Mississippi Valley Conservancy and treasurer of Human Powered Trails, organizations dedicated to preserving a natural environment in western Wisconsin. He serves on the board of the La Crosse Fitness Festival. Ralph has been honored as a four-time Triathlon All-American by the U.S.A. Triathlon Association. He is a two-time finisher of the Hawaii Ironman competition and competes in 20 cycling races a year. He was a bronze medal winner, in June 2009 and 2008, in the Wisconsin Road Race Cycling championships.
