Raymond Sturgis (1981-)is a graduate of the University of Phoenix. He grew up in Detroit, Michigan and has partnered with many organizations that help the poor, ex-felons, foster and adopted children wrongly removed from their families. Unlike many African American authors, he is an author that focus on social and political issues that affect forgotten communities across America. Urban literature is entertaining, however, literary works that enhance self-respect and respect for people, that is what Raymond Sturgis books do for readers across the world.
