Rob Williams (1987-) was born in Wurzburg, Germany, to African American parents serving in the US Army. Williams returned to America when his mother left the Army and grew up in Durham, North Carolina. For eight years he served in the US Air Force. His first book, "Lauren and the Piggy Bank," won the hearts and minds of friends and critics alike (at least that's what he tells himself).
