Robert Mailer Anderson is a 9th generation native “Californio.” He is the author of the best-selling novel “Boonville,” and co-writer of the cult classic horror film “PIG HUNT.” Since the age of fifteen, he has been a contributor to The Anderson Valley Advertiser, and his writing has appeared in San Francisco Magazine, Zyzzyva, Christopher Street, Encore, The Believer, The San Francisco Chronicle, 7 x 7, and Ishmael Reed’s Konch, among other publications. His short story, “Briley Boy,” was included in the anthology San Francisco Noir. He is the author of the play “The Death of Teddy Ballgame” and his tagline, “The World is Listening,” was purchased by the 2013 Grammy Awards. He was named a San Francisco Library Laureate in 2003, 2009, and 2016.
