Uri James was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to a hardworking, dutch, evangelical family. He was homeschooled the first six years of his life, and grew up in a culture where church attendance was more popular than high school sports. He learned to read at a young age, partly because his mother gave him a GI Joe every time he finished a Box Car Children or Hardy Boys book, and would eventually enter other minds and worlds than those presented solely in the Bible. His interests would take him from Heaven, to Narnia, to Middle earth, to the Zodiac, to Egypt, Thailand and beyond. He's studied magic, philosophy, astrology, mythology, and theology, and believes that all of it--combined--tell the story of love and life. He's a musician and song writer, has written and produced for himself and others, and has multiple albums on iTunes, Spotify and other sources. He's very happily married, and has three beautiful boys--who his writing and music is for.
